Pastry Kiosk
Project description
Client initial brief
Create a pastry kiosk at the heart of Westfield La Part-Dieu shopping centre, designed to capture visitors’ attention while delivering a memorable gourmet experience.
The project included a preparation area, dedicated back-of-house spaces for the staff, as well as a café and tasting area with a bespoke outdoor terrace.
Challenges or constraints encountered
One of the project’s main challenges was the exceptionally tight schedule: just four weeks to manufacture, assemble, and install the kiosk before its opening.
In addition, working within a fully operational shopping centre required meticulous planning and seamless coordination between all stakeholders.
Solution proposed and implemented
Groupe Pagès relied on thorough preparation by pre-assembling the steel structure in its workshop, significantly reducing installation time on site.
Key elements of the project included:
- Installation of bespoke joinery elements
- Design of a retail space optimised to showcase the pastries
- Ergonomic fit-out of the preparation and service areas
- A bespoke terrace designed to invite visitors to relax and enjoy a gourmet break

Testimonial
Every detail was designed to showcase the éclairs the same way fine jewellery is displayed in a luxury boutique. The goal was not simply to create a functional kiosk, but to craft a refined setting that would enhance every pastry creation”
