Project description

Client initial brief

Support the opening of the new IKEA Compact Planning Studio in Seynod, a proximity store concept designed by the brand to offer customers a space for inspiration, planning and expert advice. The objective was to deliver a space fully compliant with IKEA’s standards while meeting a demanding opening schedule.

Challenges or constraints encountered

The IKEA Compact concept is built around a strong brand identity and exceptionally high execution standards. Every display area must be reproduced exactly as specified, following IKEA’s methods and procedures. There is no room for improvisation: every detail, from the furniture to the finishing touches, contributes to the customer experience envisioned by IKEA.

Solution proposed and implemented

The Fit-Out division worked across the 350 m² Planning Studio, delivering all the fit-out works required to bring the new IKEA Compact concept to life, including:

  • Creation of the different display areas in accordance with the IKEA Compact concept
  • Furniture assembly in strict compliance with IKEA’s installation methods
  • Installation of partition walls and floor coverings
  • Wallpaper installation
  • Electrical and plumbing works
  • Installation of air conditioning systems

Groupe Pagès’ expertise was a key asset throughout this project. With twenty years of experience at IKEA, our Project Manager had a thorough understanding of the brand’s requirements, working methods, and quality standards, ensuring efficient project coordination and full compliance with the client’s expectations.

Thanks to this expertise, the project was completed on schedule, contributing to the successful opening of the 11th IKEA Planning Studio in France.

“After spending twenty years at IKEA, taking part in the rollout of this new IKEA Compact concept was particularly meaningful to me. I was already familiar with the brand’s high standards and the attention paid to every detail. That experience enabled us to anticipate the client’s expectations and support the teams efficiently throughout the project. The result is a space that faithfully reflects the IKEA Compact concept, delivered on schedule and ready to welcome its first visitors.”
