The Babel Community

The Babel Community wanted to create a new hybrid space in Lille, at the crossroads of different uses: living, working, and meeting.
The goal: to offer a warm, flexible, and inspiring environment where design enhances conviviality without ever limiting it.

This project came with several major challenges:

First, the execution timeframe was particularly short — only three weeks to deliver fully finished spaces.

Autre enjeu majeur : respecter l’identité visuelle forte de The Babel Community, tout en adaptant les aménagements à la configuration spécifique du bâtiment. L’objectif : retrouver la même atmosphère conviviale et design que dans les autres implantations.

Enfin, la fabrication sur-mesure du mobilier (banquettes, bars, estrades, arrière-bars) dans un temps restreint a demandé une grande réactivité des ateliers et une coordination étroite avec le bureau d’études.

Groupe Pagès drew on its full expertise in custom interior fittings and bespoke furniture design:

• Design, in-house manufacturing, and on-site installation of the project’s key elements: banquettes, bars, back bars, platforms, and reception furniture.

• Close coordination between the design office, carpenters, and on-site teams to control timelines and ensure a high level of finishing quality.

• On-site adjustments to tailor each element to the space, in close collaboration with the client.

The result: functional, aesthetic, and durable furniture that enhances the warm and vibrant atmosphere of the space.
